Big Roy, called because he is a very very big boy. German Shepherd cross, with what we are not sure about that, but not far off the size of a Dane. Roy came to us from Bulgaria, via another rescue. He was born on the streets to a stray bitch, so lived as a stray in a small village, but as he grew bigger, the people in the village became scared of him because of his size, not because he was vicious or nasty. Eventually they threatned to kill him, if he was not moved. A couple of kind animal lovers, took him out and had to tie him up several miles from the village to keep him safe, untill they could get him out of Bulgaria. Even though he is a big boy, he is a very loving dog, and craves attention that he has had so very little of. He has endured so much in his short life, and has never known what it is like to be in a home. ideally we are looking for a home, that is used to large breed dog's, and with no small children, and no other animals. He may get on with a bitch, but not other males. Can you open your heart, and your home to big Roy? Pic to follow, or can be seen on our home page.

Stories like this make me so angry. Bloody stupid superstitious human beings all over the world have a lot to answer for! Anything or anyone a little bit different suffers because people are idiots. Roy you are beauty my boy (excellent name by the way- both my Grandads were called Roy!) and I am so glad you were lucky enough to end up at Babworth. Hope to get up to see you soon and take you for a walk. Somebody fabulous will come along and give you the life you deserve.
