remember to take some photo's of the walk and email them to us and we will put it on the bark supporters page and also try and get it in the local paper.
Let us know the amount raised and their full names as we always award children a certificate for their good work.

Update on Baz. He is at the vets at the moment having his knee checked out. They have had to sedate him again, and taken more xray's, to see how its mending. We are not very happy with the vet, as they have now told us, we have to pay again today for his anasthetic, and x-ray's for today. It makes us so angry, when they said they would do the op, we asked how much is it going to cost, and they said £800 per leg. They failed to mention that he would need more x-ray's and need to be sedated again to see how things were going, and this would be extra money. Had we have known this, we would have raised more money for him. So, it would seem that his operations are now going to cost well over £1000 per knee, this does not include the fuel costs of transporting him to Derby every few weeks. God i am so bloody angry with this vet.

What a terrible vet, they cant have a conscience. I cant believe that they want all that money knowing that he is from a rescue, you would have thought that they would have freely donated some time and effort, I know that it couldnt all be done for free but some would have been good.

Today I did my sponsered walk. I walked around the big field 5 times with 5 different dogs. My feet are killing me! My helpful dogs who assisted me on my walk were: Domino Mally Maisy Toby Milo All the above dogs are available for adoption. Sorry there are no pictures, we had no camera. Many Thanks to all who sponsered me. I raised £352 for Bazzy Boy.

the vet I use in chesterfield is fantastic and I cannot praise them enough and infact I get a taxi into Newbold everytime one of my pets has jabs or is ill, rather than go to any other vets.
it's a shame that you can't get dogs in rescues insured.

He is booked in to see a new vet tomorrow for a 2nd opinion, and see how the leg is mending. and we can take it from there.

Bazmanian devil is an apt name for him right now - he has forgotten all of the manners he had been taught on the lead and was a complete nightmare when I first took him out today for a short walk - considering we were out for about 10 minutes, Im sure that I had steam coming out of MY ears, Baz's ears were sore from my yelling, my arm is on fire as 'Mr. Excitable' thought it was a tug/ drag Mark everywhere game - Little Sod! - we eventually came to an agreement that if he didnt drag me, I wouldn't scream and check him so hard....... ..........I love walking HYPER dogs........................NOT!

it's a shame that you can't get dogs in rescues insured. At the risk of taking this off on a tangent, can I ask why you can't get rescue cases insured? I fail to see the difference between a recently rescued dog which can get insured and one in kennels that can't. Surely an insurance company would love the chance to insure 20+ dogs in one go.

We got a 2nd opinion on Baz'z other leg and he said that there was no need for Baz to have the 2nd operation. Baz went to his new home a few weeks ago and is doing just fine.
