If any members have any spare time to advertise the rescue, on other sites, or on free ad sites, it would be appreciated. Just direct them to our website. If you can think of anywhere to advertise the rescue, please do it. The more people we can get to see the dogs, the more chance we have of finding them a home. Thanks.

In my capacity as the editor of a local magazine - The Idle Times, Neil is writing an article for me for next month's edition. As this is a church based magazine the article will be concluded with a prayer for animals in our care. I don't see any reason why the web address cannot be put in the article.

What does it cost to sponsor a kennel as I deal with a lot of my company's suppliers on line and often have non-work banter chats with then on line so if I could get them interested in doing something positive then I'm sure they would want to advertise this fact on their company website, and likewise they would get a link to their business on our website.

I have now commissioned Neil to design me a 1/2 A5 page advert/article for the Idle Times which will be published every month for a year at my expense. As editor I can have a discount. The magazine has a local distribution of 700.

Hi im currently in the middle of either being made redundent or having my hours halfed i've quitely been told today they will more than likely be slashed to 10 hours per week. So will have plenty of spare time, I would love to promote your centre an the gorgous dogs. I love your website I came on a while ago when I was looking to purchase a 2nd dog and took a shine to one but unfortunately she was very anxious at being left alone, and we came across a lady that was having to put her dog in a shelter due to working away from home, and have provided her with a loving home. The dog that is hehe. Anways love the website and totally admire everything you do. I so wish I could get a job as a Kennel assitant or animal care worker. Any tips on that appriciated, I have a shelter near me that I would love to volunteer at but for some reason they seem a bit stand off ish I love how you come across on here to be the complete opersite keep up the good work.

Hi Helen, any help you can give us would be so very much appreciated. As we are only a small rescue, our team of dedicated staff and volunteers work hands on with the animals here, and we have very little time to do much else, such as promoting and advertising the rescue, so we are more than happy for any help in that department. Re you getting a job in kennels, unfortunatly there are very few available paid one's, and the money is very poorly paid, you do a job like this because of the love of it, and not the money. You do not say what part of the country you are in, and if you lived near to us, we would love to have you as a volunteer. Do some checking i am sure there will be more than one rescue near you. If you let me know what area you are in, i can see what rescues are near you.

Thank you for the response, I had assumed doing a job as a Kennel assistant or care worker would be around minimum wage, and starting out as a volunteer would be a great start into that career path hopefully, Of course people can't be in it for the money but the love of the animals. I absolutely adore dogs, I'm just not certain how I would be with any large aggresive ones, which surely must sometimes be part of the job if they haven't been cared for properly. I am active on a lot of facebook pet sites and I have already placed some ads on free ad sites so fingers cross someone one will come across them and give you a call. I live in Mansfield around 40 minutes drive from your centre, my kids absolutely love dogs too but I think they would be a little young to help out at a shelter being 8 & 4. Keep up the good work.

The xmas shoes boxes will be most welcome, and so would you, as you really do not live very far away, in fact you are classed as being on our doorstep. lol. You are more than welcome to come and volunteer, and i can assure you, we have no big nasty dog's here, that will eat you. lol. The kids unfortunatly, are way to young, health and safety and all that, our insurance would not cover them, sorry. Thanks for placeing ads for us, any help is appreciated.
