And so another year at the rescue has come to an end, and another new one begins. I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for their support in 2009, without you, the rescue could not continue. So many dog's have passed through the rescue in 2009, some we will never forget, such as Sam, who came to us in such a bad way, and had to be sheared like a sheep. He gave us so many laughs, with his funny antics, if you were feeling down, you could rely on Sam, to make you smile. Brandy, who was just skin and bone, and afraid of everyone, after he was left tied to a fence, in the freezing cold. He is now back to full health, and in a loving family home. We have had many pregnant mum's also in 2009, Mimi, Jade, Amber, and we now have little Ruby, who is due her babies anytime now. One of the happiest moments for us, was seeing Domino finally find her forever home, after being with us for nearly 12 months. Good luck sweetheart. Not forgetting all the cats and kittens also that have passed through the rescue, Ginny in particular, who became a favourit with Ray. Little Scrappy, who was our very own T.V. star, on Paul O'Grady show, and now in a loving home. We wish all the dog's that have been in our care in 2009, a very happy life in their new homes. 2010 is now with us, and we ask for your continued support here at the rescue, to help and rehome the many unwanted pets that will come to us. We alway's hope that each new year will be better than the last, but already for us it has started on a bad note. We have been informed by our vet's that we cannot have anymore animals treated untill the bill has been reduced. We have already paid of nearly £900 in December alone, but they want another £700 paid off in the next 3 weeks, to get the bill down to £500. As you can imagine, we are at our wits end, trying to think of way's to get the money. I am once again putting out the begging bowl, and asking if you can spare even just a little bit to help towards the vet's bills, any amount would be so much appreciated. On a final note, i wish each and everyone of you a very Happy New Year for 2010, and i hope it will be a good one for you all. Thank you for your continued support. Regards Elaine and Darren.

Myself and Andy (other half) will pop in at the weekend - obviously weather dependant - and drop in a donation. It's a very good excuse to see Polly again too

Just to let you know I raised £50 at the car boot today. Will try and do one whenever I have time, to raise some extra cash and get rid of my old bits and bobs. Clothes sold very well (especially labelled ones and jeans), so if you could all have a good sort out and drop them off at the kennels (or anybody who lives in Mansfield I can come and collect), would be greatly appreciated xxx

Babworth is overflowing with items donated for sale....

Anyone reading this EVERY little helps ANY spare money donations however small ALL add up and it all helps not just Bobby but all the other animals in need too, they can't speak, can't ask for help, but their love to us is unconditional they never judge us no matter what we as a human race put them through, these poor animals NEED our help and just a few pounds from each of us could help make a difference!!!

Its enough to make you weep. Just as the vets bill was getting to a decent (for the kennels) and manageable amount Bobby gets rushed in and we know that JUST FOR YESTERDAY her bill alone was over £400 - God knows what they have added for today!
