Just a reminder to everyone about the hot weather and dog's. Do not leave them in a car, and keep them cool, as dog's die from heat stroke.

I find wetting Horace's chest through helps him keep cool

We have had a very hot and panting Bear all day - so looked up on internet and posted some tips on the hints and tips board.
Tia is coping really well but Bear could become a problem so thought we'd gen up on what to do - we now have a damp towel in the fridge!

Pretty much common sense you would like to think not leaving dogs in Cars in this heat!! But on saying that the Notts police force had other ideas last year...

Please think before you exercise your dogs in hot weather too - early morning and/or evenings are fine but dont do it in the hottest part of the day, you might think a walk in the sun is fine but it can literally be a killer for your dog/s

buy them an ice cream or an ice lolly (no flake) and put ice cubes in their water.
buy a cheap paddling pool and put it in the garden in the shade , syd won't go in it but he lays under the parasol with 1 eye on the BBQ.
