Just watched this, and i was in floods of tears. You would think that after doing this job for so long that i would not be affected by it all, NOT SO. I left the room when they were putting the dog to sleep, and i have cried buckets. I am so glad that they have shown all of this, perhaps now, people will see what is really going on with the stray dog's in this country, and STOP BREEDING, STOP BUYING FROM PUPPY FARMS, and go to rescue's to get a dog. I was so disgusted when they tried the little staffy lad with another entire male, and said he was not suitable for rehoming, as he showed aggression to the other dog. If thats the case, then nearly every dog we have here, should be PTS, as most are not good with other dog's, or was it because he was a staffy? I cannot wait to see what the outcome of this being shown on t.v will have. R.I.P. to those poor dog's that did not make it.

Good Luck Tracy...lol.
Watching Panorama had me blabbing twice, once when the vets was talking about the staffy population and how he felt that he was putting them to sleep needlessly but with dignity...did you see his chin wobble? (a vet getting emotional - that a sight you don't see often!) and the second time was the end where the black and white staffy had been pts and they were placing it in a black bin liner.
I just cuddle my two (Bear & Tia) for the rest of the night - feelings not recipricated by Bear...lol.
And our two aren't even staffies!

I studiously avoided watching this only to have the end forced on me when I went to watch something on sky plus we had taped. The dog they put in the bag could so easily have been Bart or Poppy but Dogs in Distress picked them up and you guys found them a home. I will never have anything other than rescue dogs knowing what I know about pedigrees and intensive breeding. People should be aware that puppy farms are using family homes as fronts when it comes to selling the litters. They pretend to have bred the dogs so they can be advertised as 'home bred' to potential buyers but they are just middle-men taking a cut . It makes me sick.
