It probably wont be until next year now, and id prefer to wait until Motley has been snipped tbh The reason we wanted a puppy was so that we could be pretty sure it hadnt had a bad cat experience and so would live with our three happily. Motley loves the cats, they are not bothered by him though and he is so playful its quite sad to see him try and play with them and then just get a swipe I guess it would make sense to have our second dog from a puppy too, however I cant help but feel sad thinking about the other dogs in rescue so im considering getting an adult dog. At Babworth would there be any way of you spotting a dog that you think would be more likely to either ignore the cats or live with them happily? are there any breeds to watch out for? (im guessing greyhounds are out lol)

Greyhounds are definatly out. We can cat test the dog's that we have here, and it gives us a rough idea, if the dog will want to out and out kill a cat. Best thing would be come and see us, and look at the dog's we have in at the moment. We have had some new dog's come in, that are not on the website yet.

Bringing your dog is a must as you will find that its not actually you that picks the second dog but Motley - the last time I needed a second dog was when my boxer bitch died and my dog got badly depressed so I had to get another dog quickly to keep him going. The one I wanted, Jack hated on sight but he loved Sandy which is why we ended up with her

Mark told us that a second dog is not twice the work! And he was right!
Absolutely essential that you take Motley to meet eachother first before making a decision - after all when your out the house they've gotta get along!
