I hope everything goes well with Mia - my thoughts are with you. You do such a marvellous job. I will send a donation to you to help via cheque. We adopted Mally and Annelise may remember us. Mally is doing well and I know what a tremendous job you all do.
Love Jo and Rob xx

I am so very very happy today. I have just spoken to the vet, and they told me that mum had a litle bit of Tuna to eat last night. They have taken her off the drip today, to see how she get's on, but they have not managed to get her to eat today yet. She is much more brighter in herself, and the vet said she is a little madam. lol. She is not out of the wood's yet, and could easily go backwards, so please keep your fingers crossed for her. We need to keep the donations coming in for her, so we can continue with her treatment. Tnak you to everyone who has donated so far. xxxxxxxxx

Hi Elaine and the Gang,
Just to let you know that our car is packed and ready to go for the morning and we will be pitching at Calverton car boot if anyone wants to come along(?)
We've added our bric a brac to all the boxes that Sharon donated from her mums house - I've kinda blackmailed Andy into getting up early and coming with me, simply as I told him I can't pick up heavy boxes or nip off to the loo if I'm on my own (lol) so we'll both be there.
Will phone you after we've finished and let you know how we got on.

Hmmmmm the weather was freezing and then turned lovely but the other peole pitching weren't out in as much force as usual...probably saw the frost and stayed in bed!
The first hour and half was brilliant but the last hour was terrible!!! I was starting to loose my rag with people turning their nose up at £1....geez everyone wants it cheap as chip! Andy's Mum gave us ink cartridges and we were selling at £1 each - a bloke offered 50p and we turned him down - then he returned when we were packing up and did it again! Sorry Elaine but I'd rather take them down again and get a good price...I know pennies are tight but thats taking the Micheal!
Took 12 boxes and came back with 7..So have earned £32.70...the last hour I was going low at 20p on some stuff (sigh.)
Will bring it over when I go in the week!

Now for the update on mum. She came back to the rescue on Sat. She is still not 100%, as she still has the run's, which we are monitoring, she is still on lot's of medication, but she is eating, and being fed evert 2 hours. She is back at the vet's tomorrow for a check up, but fingers crossed, she will continue to improve. The pup's are thriving, and will be 2 weeks old tomorrow. Myself, i am so tired, i am now on auto pilot, and do not know what day it is. As well as , rearing the pup's, running the rescue, and doing car boots for funds, i am almost at a standstill. It is that bad, i missed the X factor, because i fell asleep. lol. After this is over, i am looking for donations for the Elaine appeal, so i can have a holiday. Anyone want to donate?

Good news on Mia, bad news on Elaine!!! Never mind sure your place in heaven is reserved for all the animal lives you save and all the time you give!! And anyway we all know if we started an "Elaine holiday fund" the money would end up saving more poor animals! You wouldn't have the heart to deny them!

Hi. I joined the site/forum yesterday looking to adopt a rescue dog and found this thread. I found it so heartbreaking to think of that poor little dog and felt I must try to help. I have just donated through paypal - I can't afford a huge amount but I have given what I can, I have also posted a link to the appeal on my facebook to try to get my fellow animal loving friends to donate. I will see what else I can do to try to raise funds. Good luck with everything and I just wanted to say that I think what you do is amazing. x

Bless you Missymoo, it does not matter how small the donation is, as every penny is appreciated. If you can do some fundraising for us, that would be fab, and a very warm welcome to B.a.r.k. Look forward to chatting.

Hi, I hope Mia is still improving and that her puppies are thriving. Hope you are getting a bit more sleep now Elaine. We just got back home from 9 days at the dogs favourite place- Anderby Creek. We were lucky with the weather and managed to get on the beach most days unfortunately both of us forgot to take a camera!
