Hi all, it's nearly that time of year again, and we will be doing our usual xmas fundraising. We will be having our xmas raffle, so are looking for donated raffle prizes, and hope that you will sell tickets for us. Xmas shoe boxes are also being asked for, so that the dog's and cat's will have a prezzy on xmas morning. I have already started doing the teddies for the Retford xmas fayre, and am looking to do over 200 this year, as this is alway's been a very good way of raising funds for us. If anyone has any cuddley toy's, artifical flowers, or gift bag's, they would be appreciated. Florist ribbon and cellophane is also needed, if anyone has any.

Hi Elaine I am a relative newie to the site, we adopted Pippins from you about 2 years ago now ( the lovely Annalise came to do her first home visit with us) , and we would love to help out again. Whats the best way to get raffle tickets, do we call in and get them? Can also do some xmas boxes for dogs xmas morning what a great idea, should we just drop them off with you when we have done them? I will cajole ( mean bully, give a nag attack and whatever it takes to get some action LOL) some of my mates into doing some too as they are doggie lovers My Mum is the lady who does the 3D cards for you, would any of her cards be good for the xmas fayre you mentioned, I can get her on the case making general cards ( birthday etc) as well as xmas cards if you think they would sell?

Wow, what a fantastic response to my xmas appeal. Re raffle tickets. If you just buy a book of raffle tickets, and put the persons name and telephone number on the back, and bring us the stubbs in. Shoe boxes. Just wrap them up in xmas paper, and fill them with treats and toy's for the dog's or cat's, that would be great. Cellophane and ribbons. Theresa, that would be wonderful, anything that you have is much needed. Also, we are in need of baskets, gift boxes, anything that will be nice to put a teddy in, with a few flowers. Thank you everyone. xxx

Elaine, I am a member of a large online community, with a lot of animal lovers and I was wondering if its ok to post about the xmas raffle on there and ask people if they have any spare gifts or nice crafty things they have made (lots of professional crafters on there too) could they post it to you at babworth?

My husband has organised a sponsored car-wash in aid of Babworth at his school this week. His tutor group are washing staff cars in their lunch-time. Will let you know how it goes. Poppy and Bart send their love to you all.

The sun shone for the car-wash (thank goodness as they only had cold water!) and the kids did a great job. We are still collecting in the money but there should be £100 raised. Is there anything the kennels needs that we could get for you such as a bulk buy of food? Any suggestions would be great.
