We now have the darling little blue cat with us originally named Smokey, but the name doesnt do her justice as she is so regal looking. I had thought of Sapphire but OH not so keen,(men have to be so awkward sometimes) so if anyone has any suggestions they will be very gratefully considered.

Glad shes got a lovley new home!! Sapphire is a great name for her!! You could just shorten it to Saffy when calling her !! It's a man thing they don't like too complicated names!! Our cat fudge gets called Sludge by Shawn!!! Tell him in doors it's either sapphire or Satan !! He will then agree to your first choice of name which I thinking excellent!

I did wonder about the name Baggy with the pic on another thread, all is revealed. We do call our dogs anything but their proper names, I do like Cleopatra though, hmmm. Sharon you are soooooo right, it must be because they only have one brain cell most of the time, lol.

Our Tia is called TT, but we nearly got hooked on Teabag!
If not Sapphire then 'Gem' for gemstone? She does look very regal in her pic!

We are toying with Azura but I still prefer Sapphire or after tv the other night I think Persephone is really posh sounding. Bit of a mouthful in the vets though. Azura is growing on me the more that I consider it. Will post some pics soon but cant get her to stand still long enough to take any, lol. She has settled in great, eating really well, using the litter box, clawing the scratch post, hiding under the bed.We are getting her an cat activity centre next week, different level shelves, etc which I hope that she will like as we had one before and the dogs preferred it to the cats, lol.
