2010 Was probably the worst year of my life, what with ankle injury twice, crohnes, and my mum dying,, and I was determined this year would be better....think positive ive been told. Well to all of you who said that I can officially tell you it makes no bloody difference at all!!! 2011 Has so far seen a flood due to burst water pipe, and the sever cold. We had the fish pond spring a leak and nearly lost them all, but sheer luck was I came home early that day and it was still light. Now heres the best S**t so far.... if you haven't already heard Auto windscreens whom Ive worked for for the past 4 years have been taken into receivership : we all got sent home monday and found out we wont be paid for the last few weeks work either, ( we don't know IF i still have a job) hopefully they may get a buyer we should get a letter by end of the week, so I'm in limbo as to if I'm employed or not at mo! Think positive - my A**E!!! I'm not even gonna attempt it.....

obviously nothing I can say we have been through something similar with my husband working for virgin megastore being saved by zavvi and then being very lucky and being saved again by hmv. He still might lose his job as hmv are closing stores this year, i completely know your feeling of limbo and it is really really horrible, thats all i can say without swearing x

Proper S**T list that is!
I can sympathise with you (alot more then you think!) I just love it when you have friends that say "think positively" you just wanna punch 'em!
My fav: "You have to wake each morning and remember that you glass is 1/2 full and not 1/2 empty".
Heard about Auto Windscreens - lets hope the administrators find a buyer - can they really not pay your wages? Thats s**t.
Try keep your chin up missus Hugs from all of us at Tia & Bears house x

I have now changed my name to unlucky Alf !! The day after we got sent home from work ( we are still in limbo re jobs) a couple of old dears with their pull behind shopping trollys were coming out of a shop side by side mob handed and they skittled me !! Flat on my face bruised knees cut hands and not very happy !! Regards Shawn doing more hours there's no overtime and his days are 11-14 hr normally so that's a no go. The dogs love having me at home - cats are indifferent! Would love to come over to Babworth more often but the cost of fuel is putting me off going anywhere in the car that is not essential. things must get better?? As at this stage I'm really p****d off! Thanks tho mark x

I can only offer sympathies after having been redundant 3 times in my working career and come June 2012 I will be officially retired. Feet up - no chance, not when Elaine finds out. ;D ;D

Will keep you out of trouble tho Ray! ;D good to hear from you on the site again!! I'm on a bit of a downer at mo applied for 14 jobs so far only 1 reply - guess there's too many going for them so they can't reply to everyone! Heard an average of 25 - 50 persons per job advertised!! What a mess this country is in!!!

Update : more shit - so for the past few weeks I've spent hours on line applying for jobs 24 so far Inc hand written applications when requested, my CV has been updated and tweaked to perfection not mentioned my crohnes on any applications ( will cross that bridge when we get to it) and so far NOTHING not even a single reply!! Am I really that crap?? With over 20 years customer service experience etc etc not even a sod off! The agency's I've registered with Addecco and thorn baker - nothing !! As a result the stress is making my crohnes bad and I'm under pressure as only get benefits for 6 months as contribution based and Shawn works more than 24 hours a wk if we were both lazy sods never worked everything would be taken care of benefits unlimited claim for this that and the other!! I don't begrudge those who can't work for real reasons on benefits but seems paying in all your life only to get help 6 months when you need it is crap! !

Thanks Elaine, wish I could be so positive but get this: just been turned down for part time customer services at B &Q not even an interview with over 20 yr experience, Oxford trained and FSA accreditted! So I wrote to them why no interview?? Awaiting reply - I won't hold my breath.....
