Have put 2 phones for the kennels in with stuff for the table top sales that Ray will be kindly picking up when he gets a chance.
One is cordless and one is ( rather large due to having a few functions and mini pull out keyboard on it ) but it is wall mountable. Hope these help.

Update on ASDA see previous on page 1 - got left a message on our phone saying Mrs Morrel from ASDA Sutton in ashfield the answer to your request is NO ! AND THAT WAS IT - NO EXPLANATION nothing!!! Tried to telephone them and they kept saying she wasn't there, so went up today and what a surprise she wasn't there!!! Wanted to know the reason it was NO - So I'm afraid ASDA because of their attitude can stuff their Christmas shopping right up where the sun don't shine - wont be doing it there this year!! BAH humbug!!!

I went into BIG BOYS in Ollerton and asked if they would help with new brushes, mops & buckets...answer was: "If your asking if he (the boss) will donate any stock then the answers NO, if you want a collection tin on the counter then I'll ask but we've got 5 out already, so I'd say now you've got no hope." We have been buying dog food from them each month and have since found same food £1 cheaper at the new pet shop across from Asda in Forest Town, Mansfield. Hmmm so the decision is we will be going elsewhere.

we also found that most local companies would rather support rescue centres in south yorkshire (rspca/mayflower , etc) rather than the Rescue in their own town.

What a fantastic idea Bev. We do not have a problem at all with the you handing out leaflets, as long as you get permission. Many Thanks.

I am in the process of sorting out some things for you at the Kennels, but to keep you going, i have put £40.00 in the Bank today so you can buy what you like. I only wished i lived nearer to the Kennels as i could help out alot more, but if i do it this way at least you are not forgotten.

Dont forget next month to apply to Wilkinsons in time for April to see if they will help (see previous posts re this- only first come first served by sound of it!)

If Wilkinson's still say no, have they been approached regarding having a pet food collection box?

Just out of interest do you use a particular dog food or dog treats or anything like that? I was cleaning out my cupboards earlier and found 3 x 150g cartons of unopened dog meat leftover from when we puppysat for my cousin. It's not exactly alot but it's of no use to us because our dogs on complete and if you can make use of it then i'd much rather drop it in (whilst i'm hopefully volunteering in the near future ) than just throw it away! I also have a couple of packets of dog treats if they're any use to you. They're open so don't know if you'd be able to/want to take them? There's some dog chocolate drops (which my very fussy puppy won't eat) and there are some chicken flavoured bite thingies. It's open but it is a full pack - as I opened it I realised they're too hard for my puppy who is only 11 weeks old and on closer inspection I realised the packet does say for adult dogs! (Feeling very stupid!) Again... its only a tiny amount but i'd rather offer and have you say no thanks than just throw them away! I work at Tesco part-time too so i'll see if we can get a collection box anywhere and if not i'd be happy to put posters in the staff canteen and to ask if we can put a collection box in there

WOW not met you but lovin you already!!! lol. Can you bash a couple of dog food cans...reduced to clear shelf, nudge, nudge, wink, wink! (only joking!) Drop it in/bring it with you - all gratefully received!

I was up at the kennels the other day and Elaine said they are really short of good quality bleach to clean the kennels with so anyone heading up to the kennels soon stick a bottle or two in your shopping trolly :-)
