We have now started collecting scrap metals to raise much needed funds. If you have any old cuttlery, knives, forks, spoons, ect. We will aslo take your tin cans, washed with the lables removed, any brass, aluminium, any other metals. Thank you.

Just to give you all a laugh, we have a big wheelie bin for cardboard, glass and cans all in together. So after Elaine's message I decided to get the cans out before bin day, so there I was, bin upended, bum up, crawling right inside to get to the cans at the bottom. Not a pretty sight but waste not want not so they are now in a sack and Pete has strict instructions not to throw a single one for recycling, or else!!!!!!

The can sack is growing nicely I am pleased to say. I always take a strong carrier bag with me when I walk the dogs,I call it the loot bag! I pick up glass bottles so they don't get smashed and harm dogs or kids, cans for scrap and to save small things from crawling in and getting trapped and lastly wood for my son's woodburner. So there I am, the Barlborough bag lady!!! And you should hear my swear if somebody has nicked a nice piece of wood that I have left because I couldn't carry it!!!
