As you may have seen on Baz's adoption thread Elaine has mentioned he is going to be in quarantine for a while as he needs an opperation on his Knee Cap which is going to be quite costly and we need to raise funds for. This poor lad had one of the crappiest starts to his life , found abandoned at around 6 weeks old he was underweight , very ill and needed to wear a jumper for warmth , Elaine and the other kennel staff gave him love and care to bring this lad from the brink of dying to be a strapping young lad with loads of energy. Sadly as he was getting some interest for re-homing he has been hindered again in his quest for a new life by the fact he needs an urgent opperation and months of aftercare. we are asking if anyone can do a fundraiser in aid of Baz or if you would like to make a donation to his opperation fund however small , everything is appreciated. Payments payable to - Everythingpets If you can help please send to The Baz Appeal Babworth Animal Rescue Kennels Crossing Cottage Mansfield Road Retford Notts Thanks for reading this Thread

Baz has been to see the specialist today, re his leg. Unfortunatly it is much worse than we had firt thought, and in fact he has to have both legs operated on. He has got a condition called a floating kneecap. This condition is genetic, and has been passed onto from his parents or grandparent. The operation is going to cost £800 per leg, his firt one being next week, the second one will be done in January. As you can appreciate, the rescue is already in finacial crisis, so we need to raise as much money as we can to help pay for his operation. Can you donate just a few pounds or help in other ways to raise the money for his operation?

Poor Baz,
My best mate asked what I wanted for Xmas today and I sent her an email saying if she would possibly send whatever she would spend on me to the kennels. I will ask her to mark it for Baz'z appeal. Every little helps.
Good luck Baz little man.

How about doing an online appeal, if someone clever made a banner about Baz, and there was a Paypal account where people could donate online? We could all post it on our message boards, Myspaces and Facebook etc, any good do you think?
What about that Just Giving website, thats for fundraisers isn't it? Tug at their heartstrings a bit, 'Give a pup a pound at Christmas' or something?

My sis asked what I wanted from my nieces for xmas. I have to have something to open for them so I picked a pair of walking socks and asked if she would donate the rest of her present money to Baz. She should be sending the balance over soon .... every little helps.

Did I tell you all I was doing a sponsored walk for "bazzy boy?" I've got just over £100 so far, without going to pub scrounging! That will come over the festive period. All donations welcome. Any sponsoreres can PM me with their vast amount of sponsor money. ;D Many Thanks Annalise X

Never thought that you would need any encouragement to get yourself to the pub Annalise and get your scrounging hat on

I completed my 10k run today to riase money for Baz. I did it in 1hr 13mins. Now the hardwork starts of collecting sponsorship. i will let you know as soon as I have the grand total!
My cousin and I have both decided to give the money we would have spent on each other to the shelter which I shall bring in next Sun. Also my mother in law and kind of Aunt have donated £5 each instead of buying Christmas cards for their work friends.

I met this beautiful boy today and boy is he gorgeous. I brought most of the sponsorship money for the 10k run which came in at £220. This also included:
£10 from Sheila and Auntie Nita as they donated the money they would normally spend on Christmas cards for work colleagues! £20 from me, Lee, Neil Kawecki and Helen Lane who have donated our money we would normally spend on each other at Christmas
A big thank you to the following:
All the staff at APPH Nottingham for being so generous Sheila Thacker Lee Thacker Ian and Elaine Sweeney Nana and Brenda Sweeney (yes her first name is Nana!!!!) Well to me it is anyway. Neil Sweeney Kerry, Dave and Mia Peacock Clare and Kev Dickson Zoe Laing Charlotte Beaver Kath Morgan Hebran Amanda Emma Yeomans Sean Kenny Alison Appleby Pip Townsend
There is around another £60/£70 to come I just couldn't get to see everyone before Christmas. I hope this gets Baz closer to his operations!!!!

Want to say a very big thank you to Ruby's mum, whose friend sent £150 donation for Baz, instead of buying her a xmas present. Also Netty, who sent £50 which she earned in tips this year from her job, thank you Netty.
