Wow! Now there is a story to that she doesn't usually spend that much.... I invited her and her hubby up before xmas and we went out for dinner. I refused to let them pay and so she said she would add the cost of the meal onto her donation.
I also sent up a cheque for £40 on xmas eve (I know you are probably still waiting for it with xmas post LOL) this was Ruby's dad's aunties money and my Xmas card money that I always donate to charity each year.
How are we doing on the fundraising for him now?

My sponsored walk for "Bazzy Boy" is coming up soon. ;D This year I am doing it slightly differently. I am going to do my sponsered walk 5 x longer than last year, with 5 different dogs. So hopefully I'll get 5 times more sponsership money! Any person wishing to sponser myself or 1 of my trustee doggie companions, please P M me with your details or get in touch with Elaine ;D Many Thanks Annalise & Pals X

Update for Baz, he is booked in for his first op on Monday, as we now have enough money to get one knee done. He can have his second one done in another 10 weeks, so have to now get the money for his 2nd one.

I hope Baz feels better soon

Just to let everyone know how Baz is doing. He had his op yesterday, and is doing fine. He is obviously very sore, and we have to TRY and keep him still and quiet for a MONTH. That i think is going to be impossible. They gave us a buster collar to put on, and he ripped in half before i even got out the kennel. Must say though, he is a little more subdued than normal, normal for him being hyper 24/7. So please, wish us luck, as we are going to need it. Will keep you posted.

Having met Baz last Saturday: I wish you VERY good luck in keeping him still and quiet!! Personally I prefer easier challenges, so I'm just off to ride a unicycle to the top of Mount Everest!!!!
Speaking of challenges:
On the 1st March my 4 year old daughter and her friend will be doing a sponsored walk round the lake at Clumber Park for Baz/Babworth.
Does anyone know Clumber's feelings towards having collection buckets etc, as we were thinking of "bigging it up" as we went round? Obviously I'll speak to someone at Clumber beforehand, but it would be good if I could get a heads up first.
Also what are the rules around such collecting. I think you need a permit for collecting in public places but Clumber is owned by the National Trust so it should be ok with their permission...I think!
Apologies for going on a bit but I'd like as much info as possible before I speak to them.
Thanks

Wow thanks for the update on Baz we have been thinking of him. I don't know how you keep a livewire quiet we had the same problem with Ru after her op. Fingers crossed he will be sensible... alternatively perhaps a herbal remedy to subdue him. LOL.
I do hope it will be a permanent fix for him and the second op will be successful too. Fingers crossed.

Its has become a two man job to clean his kennel. I go in with treats and try and hold him down, while Annalise cleans the kennel, as soon as he can see you, he's up and jumping. So far, we have not had to put a buster collar on him, as he is not touching his wound thank god. Really, he is supposed to be in a crate, but the thought of him in a crate for a month, only coming out to go to the toilet, is to heartbreaking for him, he has already been restricted for months of no walks. If it gets to the point where he really is to hyper, then we will have no choice but to crate him.

So far my daughter Niamh and her friend Curtis have raised just over £235 in sponsorship for Baz's appeal.
My wife is putting a seperate Baz box for loose change at work, next to the Babworth food and goodies box.
Is it o.k if I pinch Baz's mug shots off here to put on the box?
